By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, April 12 (IANS) Close on the heels of the roaring hit "Chhatrapathi" comes

However, Prabhas is not trying to cash in on his new-found star status and has become choosy.
"I have not analysed my position but I want to be choosy since I want to sustain this new status. I have rejected many scripts because I want to pick solid plots," Prabhas told IANS.
He is thrilled about the slick action film "Munna" and is also looking forward to working with V.V. Vinayak in the Telugu remake of the Kannada hit "Jogi".
Excerpts:
Q: At last, you will be working with your uncle, actor-politician Krishnam Raju?
A: I was thrilled when Rajamouli announced that he intends to make a film with my uncle and me at the 100-day function of "Chhatrapathi". We have been looking around for strong scripts for quite some time but couldn't find one that would suit both of us. But now we will go ahead with Rajamouli's script and I hope he churns out another memorable film.
Q: How come you went against your practice of staying away from functions?
A: Though personally, I like to stay away from functions, I broke the rule to satisfy my fan following. I wanted to see smiles on their faces since they came from all over just to attend the function. It was a memorable event.
Q: Which is close to your heart - "Varsham" or "Chhatrapathi"?
A: It is difficult to choose between the two as both are close to my heart. But characterisation in "Chhatrapathi" was well etched and the film can go down as a milestone in my career.
Q: After "Varsham", you are teaming up with M.S. Raju. How would you describe "Pournami"?
A: What can I say about a great filmmaker like Raju? Except for him, no one would have dared to make a film like "Pournami". Undoubtedly, the tasteful entertainer will remain in hearts of the audience for a long, long time. If "Varsham" fetched me female fans, "Pournami" will take me closer to them.
Q: Despite a number of offers, you have signed just few films. How would you describe "Munna"?
A: I have not analysed my position but I want to be choosy since I want to sustain this new status. I have rejected many scripts because I want to pick solid plots. For me, the script comes first, followed by the director and the producer.
"Munna" is a stylised film and my character will be truly romantic. Its looks like a potential winner.
Q: How about doing your first remake of Kannada hit "Jogi" with hit-filmmaker V.V. Vinayak?
A: Though it's a remake, it has been altered to suit the taste of the Telugu audience. I am glad to work with Vinayak, since I loved all his films.
