'Vennela' wins the Telugu film race

Hyderabad, Dec 3 (IANS) Telugu film "Vennela", a love story interspersed with comedy starring Raja of "Anand" fame, takes the top slot this fortnight.
1. "Vennela": Director Deva Katta's film may even surpass the box-office success of "Anand".
2. "Ghajini": After Vikram, it's now Tamil star Surya's turn to savour success in Telugu as his dubbed action film is doing very well. His next Tamil release "Aaru' is getting good publicity too.
3. "Danger": The film has proved critics wrong by picking up well on word-of-mouth publicity. The youth-oriented thriller is drawing crowds.
4. "Premisthe": Scribe-turned-producer Suresh is laughing all the way to the bank with this blockbuster crossing the 50-day mark.
5. "Chhatrapathi": A cricket match had to boost the film's box office collections. The action flick, however, has re-launched the career of Prabhas.
