'Allari Pidugu' top Telugu audio
By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, Sep 21 (IANS) Top composer Mani Sharma's album for 'Allari Pidugu' is setting new sales records. The top five music albums are:
1. "Allari Pidugu": "Dikki Dikki" and "Ongolu Githaro", songs from the album, are all the rage. The album's success can even surpass that of "Narasimhanaidu" and "Samarasimhareddy".
2. "Chhatrapathi": After musical hits like "Simhadri" and "Sye", director Rajamouli and composer Keeravani have joined hands for another big-bang action film.
3. "Athadu": The heady combination of Mahesh and Mani Sharma is showing results once again. "Pillichina" and "Chandamma" are popular numbers. The film's success has also helped the audio.
4. "Allari Bullodu": The Raghavendra Rao-Keeravani, known for several musical hits, disappoints slightly this time. "Andmante Evaridhi" and "Noppi Noppi" are catchy tunes.
5. "Political Rowdy": After his fast-paced "Super", talented composer Sandip Choutha teams up with veteran actor-producer Mohan Babu.
'Athadu' continues top position
By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, Sep 21 (IANS) Despite new releases, "Athadu" holds on to its place at the top comfortably. The top five Telugu movies are:
1. "Athadu": The tale of a reformed assassin continues to draw crowds. The Mahesh-Trisha romance and Trivikram's frames make a winner out of a familiar plot. Producer Kishore's promotion campaign has helped too.
2. "Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu": Director Venky's three-character film has opened well. It deserves a place in this list more for its unique plot than for its collections. Raja and Shreya impress as newly-weds to make yet another 'concept film' a success.
3. "Allari Bullodu": K Raghavendra Rao's comedy has opened to a good response, but the stale plot could mar its chances. Rao rehashes his own hit, "Rowdy Alludu".
4. "Okkade": Action hunk Srihari's film has had a good opening, but the insipid plot could scuttle its prospects.
5. "Chandramukhi": The psycho-thriller comes back with the film doing very well in C centers even after 90 days. Rajnikanth's charisma and Jyothika's performance have helped it become the biggest hit for Rajni in Telugu.
