'Lakshmi' the winner among Telugu films

Hyderabad, March 18 (IANS) "Lakshmi", which has crossed the 50-day mark in more than 200 centres, tops the fortnight's list of top Telugu films.

1. "Lakshmi" - The film's success promises to revive star-studded movie culture. Venkatesh's sympathetic role has drawn appreciation especially from female audiences. Director Vinayak's winning streak continues.
2. "Ranam" - Though the title suggests action, this latest offering from Eetharam Films is a comedy and action star Gopichand copes well with it. Choreographer-turned-director Rajsekar begins his filmmaking journey with a hit.
3. "Style" - The aggressive promotion campaign by producer Sridhar, who holds a media conference every other day, has kept cash counters ringing. With this film, actor-director Lawrence has proved that he is hero material.
4. "Devadasu" - Belying negative reports in the first week, director Y.V.S. Choudury has delivered a hit with debutants. The film is a big draw with the youth.
5. "Narnia" - After "Aparachitudu", Laxmi Ganapathi Films has come up with a dubbed Hollywood film, an adventure caper designed to lure audiences in all centres.
