Vidyasagar scores again with 'Mazaa'
By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (IANS) "Mazaa", another musical hit by Vidyasagar after "Chandramukhi", is the fortnight's leader among Telugu audios. The top five albums are:
1. "Mazaa": The album has succeeded because it presents a good mix. "Allukonava" and "Ayya Retu' are hits.
2. "Ghajini": Harris Jayaraj has belted out another lively album to captivate youth in particular. "Tirige Kallu" and "Rahatulla" sound like sure-fire hits.
3. "Pandu": After a brief hiatus, Devisri Prasad makes a comeback with a love story. "Nagamani" and "Jabilipaina" sound interesting. The composer of mass-oriented numbers is looking to try out something different.
4. "Chhatrapathi": Keeravani's chartbuster "A vachi bi pie" and soft-melody "Agni salkani" show his class. At last he seems to have struck a chord with the masses.
5. "Venella": Debutant composer Mahesh Shankar presents a tasteful and promising album.
'Danger' tops among Telugu films
By B. Anuradha, Indo-Asian News Service
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (IANS) "Danger" has opened to a good response and tops the fortnight's Telugu films. Here goes the list:
1. "Danger": The visually pleasing film on a hide-and-seek game is an experimental effort.
2. "Chhatrapathi": Local 'Stallone' Prabhas keeps up the film's tempo with his action episodes while Rajamouli's deft screenplay holds audience interest.
3. "Bhagiratha": Director Rasool's maiden hit comes with a film that relies more on brains than on brawn.
4. "Premisthe": The dubbed version of Tamil hit "Kadal" has captivated Andhraites and a realistic screenplay is the USP of the film. Producer Suresh's big promotion is also helping the film's cause.
5. "Athadu": Despite new releases, Mahesh Babu's action flick holds its ground and is still drawing crowds in select centres.
