Russian spacecraft makes safe comeback
DPA
Washington, Oct 11 (DPA) A Russian spacecraft with two astronauts and an American space tourist came back to earth from the International Space Station (ISS) and landed safely in Kazakhstan early Tuesday.
On board the Soyuz spacecraft were American John Phillips, Russian Sergei Krikalyov and the world's third space tourist, American millionaire Gregory Olsen.
Images on the US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)'s television channel showed reverse rockets slowing the craft down for landing in the Kazakh steppe. Ground crew reached the space capsule after a few minutes.
Olsen, 60, made an eight-day visit to the ISS, while the two astronauts were up 400 km above the earth for six months. They were replaced by US astronaut William McArthur and Russian cosmonaut Valery Tokarev.
